Cantaloupe meatballs

Cantaloupe meatballs. Delicious meatballs of beef, pork, and lamb. Meatballs with the addition of red wine, tomato passata. A tasty combination of tomato sauce with dried mushrooms with the addition of white beans, and aromatic spices.

Składniki / Ingredients:

  • 300 gr of ground beef
  • 200 gr of ground pork
  • 200 grams of ground lamb
  • 2 small rolls
  • 1/3 cup of warm milk
  • 100 grams of smoked bacon diced
  • 100 ml of dry red wine
  • 150 ml of tomato passata
  • 300 ml of beef broth
  • 2 cloves
  • 100 gr of olives
  • 30 grams of dried mushrooms
  • 1 cup boiled white beans
  • fresh parsley
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 clove of garlic crushed
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon of coriander
  • a pinch of pepper
  • 1 egg
  • salt (pepper, extra virgin olive oil and optionally flour for coating)

Sposób wykonania / Instructions:

  • Soak the bun in milk. Squeezed roll combine all kinds of meat, garlic, chopped parsley, and egg. Mix it thoroughly. Make meatballs and coat it with flour. Fry for golden color, from all sides. Put on paper towels to get rid of excess fat. Fry the bacon in a frying pan with onions and cloves. Place bacon in a ceramic dish. Add wine. Add olives and dried mushrooms. Pour tomato juice and stock. Bring to a boil. Toss the meatballs. Add spices. Simmer for about an hour undercover, making sure the meatballs are covered with sauce. After an hour, remove the lid, add beans and cook for some time to evaporate the liquid.
