Apple and nut cake

Apple and nut cake. A simple cake with whole apples stuffed with nut crumble. It looks nice and tastes good.

Składniki / Ingredients:

For crumble nut:

  • 75 g of plain flour
  • 75 g of pecans (finely chopped)
  • half a glass of brown sugar
  • 60 g butter (melted)
  • Put the flour (nuts, sugar and salt in the bowl. Pour the dissolved butter. Combine with powdery ingredients to create a crumble)

For cake

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar (250 g)
  • 250 ml sour cream
  • 125 ml of oil
  • 500 gr plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tablespoon of potato starch or custard powder
  • 6 apples (peeled and cored)

Sposób wykonania / Instructions:

  • Whisk eggs with sugar until fluffy. Add sour cream and oil. Beat with an electric mixer to combine the ingredients. Add flour and baking powder in four parts. In the end, add lemon juice.
  • Dry the pears with a paper towel and sprinkle with potato flour. Stuff with nut crumble
  • Spread the batter in a springform pan with a diameter of about 24 cm. Arrange stuffed apples in the batter and gently press into the batter. Spread with remaining nut crumble over it. Bake for about 45-60 min in the oven preheated to 180 C
