Prawns in pineapple sauce

Shrimps in pineapple sauce. I made beef in pineapple sauce. It was so delicious that I decided to try the seafood this way. Shrimps are good with sauce. The whole served with pasta

Składniki / Ingredients:

For pineapple sauce

  • 1 white onion cut into slices
  • 1 diced pineapple
  • 200 ml coconut milk from the can (only white, thick part)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • ginger
  • ground cumin
  • turmeric

For prawns

  • 250 grams of prawns
  • 4 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
  • 40 g butter
  • 50 ml of white wine
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • sea salt to taste

Sposób wykonania / Instructions:

For pineapple sauce

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan. Add the onions and simmer for about 5 minutes under the cover. Add salt and spices. Saute for another few minutes. Add the pineapple and the white part of the coconut milk. Mix and keep on the fire for a few more minutes. Blend for a smooth sauce.

For prawns

  • Heat the butter in a pan, put in a chopped garlic and fry for half a minute. Put the prawns and fry for one minute on each side.
  • Pour the wine and evaporate on higher heat. Reduce the fire to medium, roll over prawns and fry for another minute.
  • Turn the prawns upside down and fry for another half a minute. Combine prawns with sauce.
