Składniki / Ingredients:

For stuffed cabbage

  • 500 gr of minced pork
  • 1 small pumpkin (diced and baked)
  • 150 g diced smoked bacon
  • 1 onion diced
  • 150 g of half-hard cooked white buckwheat
  • 2 heads of savoy cabbage
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of butter or oil
  • salt and black pepper

For pumpkin sauce

  • 300 ml broth
  • 150 ml coconut milk
  • 300 ml pumpkin puree
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 chopped chili pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry spice

Sposób wykonania / Instructions:

For stuffed cabbage

  • Remove the core from the cabbages. Put the cabbage into the pot of the boiling water for a couple of minutes. Take the cabbage out and place on a plate and remove the outer leaves. Put the cabbage into the water again until you have enough leaves.
  • In preheated oil fry bacon with onion.
  • Mix the meat with onions,bacon add white buckwheat. Then add pumpkin. Add egg and mix together. Season to taste. Mix the filling until it is sticky.
  • Place the little bit of filling on the leaf and roll cabbage around the mixture, tucking in sides to create an envelope around the filling. Place some of the cabbage leaves on the bottom of the pot and place all your rolled ‘cabbage parcels’ on top of them. Make sure they are very close to each other. Place the cabbage leaves on top. Pour over pepper sauce and cook for 60 minutes. After this time pour out the liquid, and cover stuffed cabbage with pumpkin sauce and simmer for another 30 min

For pumpkin sauce

  • Fry the onion in a small amount of oil. Add the pumpkin puree and tomato paste to the onions. Fry the moments together. Add broth and coconut milk. Mix all this with a blender until a smooth cream.
