Scotch eggs

Scotch eggs. Eggs are well known in England. Perfect for breakfast or a quick snack to work. Eggs wrapped in meat filling, in crispy breadcrumbs. These are fried in hot oil, but you can also bake in the oven.

Składniki / Ingredients:

  • 6 eggs boiled for 2.5 minutes and peeled from the shell
  • For meat mixture
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 kg of minced pork
  • 1 onion grated
  • 1 clove of garlic crushed
  • 2 teaspoons of mustard
  • 3 teaspoons of finely chopped parsley
  • half a teaspoon of hot paprika
  • salt pepper
  • 1 small roll soaked in milk
  • breadcrumbs for coating
  • frying oil

Sposób wykonania / Instructions:

  • In the bowl combine the egg, drained of milk roll, onion, garlic, parsley, mustard and hot paprika and minced meat. Make a smooth mass. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into 6 parts. Place a ball on the palm of your hand, then pat and flatten until it’s big enough to wrap around the egg. Place a peeled egg in the center and mold the meat up and around it, sealing the egg inside so you end up with a perfectly round ball. Coat in breadcrumbs. Fry eggs in hot oil – after about 8 minutes it should be golden and perfectly cooked through, so scoop it out, drain on kitchen paper
